The Bowl-A-Thon is an exciting fundraising event to help Junior
Achievement of the Bluegrass. Your participation in the Bowl-A-Thon
is essential in helping students recognize education as the key to success and
develop skills and values that will prepare them for high school graduation and
beyond. By impacting these students with meaningful programs and
experiences throughout their school careers we can improve the lives of these
young people and the fate of our local economy.
The funds raised during the JA Bowl-A-Thon are used solely to
support all Junior Achievement programs, which will benefit over 17,000 Central
Kentucky students in grades K-12.
JA Bowl-A-Thon is a great company activity that promotes team
building and leadership.
How can your company participate in the 2009 Junior Achievement
Bowl-A-Thon?
Team Captain: Are you a motivator? Are you a leader?
Do you have a passion for helping young people? If you've answered yes to
these questions then you are a Team Captain. As your team's captain your
primary duties are to recruit four additional team members; encourage each team
member to raise as much as possible and try to reach the goal of raising at
least $500.00 per team; ensure that team registration form and the $50.00
registration fee is turned on time; provide JA with any updates or
changes regarding your team; provide accurate contact information to ensure
communication between you and JA; and make sure that each member of your team
have a bowler envelope and bowler guidelines worksheet.
