What started out as a "club" sport has now evolved into statewide official High School Bowling Varsity Sport.
For many years the Kentucky Bowling Proprietors Association (KBPA) and parents of youth bowlers have worked toward creating High School Bowling to grow the sport. Finally, with much work from everyone involved, Kentucky has made this an official varsity sport.
Collins Bowling Centers will be providing the lanes for matches and practices coming up this season. It will be very important to contact your school's Athletic Director to see how your child can participate and try out for the team.
For the past several years, the KBPA has worked with high school clubs and organizations creating a well organized club sport that has been successful. This was the foundation for what has now become a program being operated by the high schools. USBC has also been behind the growth of our sport in the high schools.
