Bowling can be used to raise money for your non-profit or organization. Many groups have successful raised funds and had fun at the same time. These include, Big Brothers / Big Sisters, Special Olympics, Junior Achievement, Church Groups, High School Booster Clubs, Baseball / T-ball Teams, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, Celebrity Bowl-A-Thons and many more!
It’s very easy to conduct a Bowl-A-Thon, Group Outing, Celebrity Bowl or whatever your creativity allows. We’ll help you create the program to raise money and promote fellowship and involve everyone within your organization in the process.
You don’t have to worry about the weather messing things up when scheduling your group outing. If it’s raining, too hot or too cold, no worries - bowling is there to meet your needs! Combine the outing with a fully catered food service and everyone wins.
Here are some examples of fundraising formats:
One-Time Bowling Party Price - Collins Bowling negotiates a basic rate for your lanes and you charge your members a price at a profit above the cost. Groups have also sold lane banners and signage for these events which requires more time to successfully coordinate sponsors, etc., but it pays off in more money being raised.
Bowl-A-Thon Basics - Here is how it works: You organize several “team captains” who put together teams to bowl. These volunteers put together teams of 4 more bowlers. Each bowler is responsible to raise a goal of $1.00 per pin. They go around and sign up people to “sponsor” them in this event. Three games are bowled and the scores are tallied up and multiplied by $1.00. So for a 3-game total pin count of 450 would be $450 in money raised. The key is to get several people to sponsor you at 5 to 10 cents per pin until you have raised the $1.00 goal.
Organizations have solicited prizes for people who raise the most money. Gift certificates, Plasma TV sets, and other door prizes are sometimes donated to the non-profits depending on the level of media and other benefits the companies become affiliated.
